We are happy to invite you to the opening of Press Primate Portrait Playtoy, a solo exhibition by Turkish artist Emre Özakat (1997, Istanbul), with the participation of Pedro Barateiro (1979, Almada) and Polido (1994, Marinha Grande), curated by Federico Rudari.

Images circulate online at speed: stock photographs, search results, the accumulated residue of internet culture, designed for maximum circulation, and stripped of origin and context in the process of their distribution. Although commonly understood as permanent, they are subject to format obsolescence, link rot, and the forgetting that no archive fully prevents. The exhibition explores distortion as a unifying force, a fictional landscape at once familiar and slightly unsettling, both method and materialisation.
